  • Q. 1. How can I prevent the printhead from being damaged due to paper arching?

    Reason:

    Due to the high drying temperature during printing, the paper fiber loses water, resulting in deformation and arching.

    Solution:

    (1)At a room temperature of 20~35°C and a humidity of 40~60%, the heating of the printing platform can be turned off, or reduce the temperature of the printing platform as much as possible to prevent arching caused by paper loss of water;

    (2)Reduce the suction force of the printer table as much as possible, especially when stopping printing, please turn off the table suction, so as to avoid the part of the paper left on the table from being sucked and wrinkled.

  • Q. 2. What should I do if the non-patterned part of the paper sticks to the powder during the powder spreading process?

    Reason:

    High humidity during the powder shaking process leads to powder sticking;

    Low humidity produces static electricity and powder sticking.

    Solution:

    (1)When the humidity is higher than 80%, turn on the dehumidifier or turn on the front guide plate of the powder shaking machine to heat up, so as to prevent the powder shaking from being dirty due to moisture absorption on the surface;

    (2)When the humidity is less than 40%, turn on the humidifier, and touch the machine with your hands to reduce static electricity when the powder shaking machine is powered off.

  • Q. 3. What should I do if the adhesion of the hot melt powder is not enough and the color fastness of the transferred pattern is not enough?

    Reason:

    If the temperature is too high, the printed pattern will lose too much water, resulting in insufficient adhesion of hot melt powder.

    Solution:

    Turn off the table heating during printing, and turn off the front plate heating of the powder shaker.

  • Q. 4. How to properly operate powder spreading and shaking?

    Solution:

    (1)Shaking the powder depends on the state of the hot melt powder and lightly shake the powder;

    (2)Select the appropriate baking temperature according to the selected hot melt powder to ensure that the hot melt powder is completely melted.

  • Q. 5. What is the reason for the white spots appearing in the pattern during the transfer process? what should I do?

    Reason:

    Due to the low room temperature or high air humidity, the white ink slowly dries, resulting in more water in the ink layer. When drying after shaking the powder, the water stays in the ink layer, and becomes water vapor during hot stamping, resulting in more white spots in the pattern.

    Solution:

    It can be solved by increasing the heating temperature of the guide plate of the printer and powder shaker so that the water in the ink layer can be properly volatilized.

  • Q. 6. Are there any specific requirements for transfer temperature, pressure and time?

    Solution:

    (1)Determine the accurate transfer temperature, pressure and time according to different fabrics, heat press machines, and hot melt adhesive powder. The same fabric can be used for small tests before formal production to determine the transfer temperature and time for satisfactory color fastness. Refer to our product manual for the recommended conditions of relevant materials;

    (2)Flexible fabrics must be preheated before transfer.

  • Q. 7. What are the specific instructions on the peeling process when using Richol paper-based DTF?

    Solution:

    Our product supports cold peeling and hot peeling. When using instant peeling, the action should be as fast as possible. Slow peeling may cause warped edges.
